News & EventsAsh Wednesday Mass Schedule
February 17th, 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm. Note: due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Cardinal Sarah, Prefect for the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments has declared that the following should be done: “The Priest says the prayer for blessing the ashes. He sprinkles the ashes with holy water, without saying anything. Then he addresses all those present and only once says the formula as it appears in the Roman Missal, applying it to all in general: “Repent, and believe in the Gospel”, or “Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return”. The Priest then cleanses his hands, puts on a face mask and distributes the ashes to those who come to him or, if appropriate, he goes to those who are standing in their places. The Priest takes the ashes and sprinkles them on the head of each one without saying anything.” Hence, Father David and Deacon Jim will sprinkle ashes on the crown of your head instead of making contact with your forehead this year. Happy Hour/Dinner at Michael’s Pizza and Pasta
Wednesday, February 10th 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Come socialize with friends and new members of our growing Community. Special dinner menu and 10% off appetizers. Going Apostolic Mission
For those that participated in our Advent workshop, you will recall that Fr David spoke of the need to re-think how we think, how we are Church, and how we creatively and effectively engage our culture which is no longer Christian. This requires us-as Pope Francis has repeatedly called for-to “go out to the peripheries,” to our neighbors, our co-workers, our friends, the homeless, etc. In this missionary spirit and in light of our limited ability to utilize Seton School during the academic year, Fr David is beginning to schedule weekday Masses (Mon, Wed, or Fri) in your home or neighborhood area (indoor and/or outdoor, pending weather and COVID-19 safety). If you would like to host or facilitate a Mass and or social afterwards for your neighborhood, please determine the 4 W’s (what, who, when, & where) before submitting a request. Opening beginning the 2nd week of February. |
