Do you like to sing? Maybe you have thought about it, or you sang in school but it’s been a while- now’s your opportunity! The newly formed choir at CCCF welcomes new members- no audition required, just a love for learning and great music. Play an instrument? We will make room for you. If you’re curious, reach out to Laura at lauracandlerwhite@gmail.com or stop by the piano anytime. Prayer Chain Ministry
Anyone interested in joining or helping with this prayer ministry should contact Fern Daniels at 843-397-2728 or kefed@aol.com. Please put “prayers for the Catholic Community” as the subject of the email. Prison Ministry
“ill and you cared for me, in prison and you visited me” (Mt 25:36). Prison Ministry is an outreach to inmates at J. Reuben Long Detention Center. Volunteers work in pairs. They are Christ's disciples in reading the Sunday scriptures, offering a Bible/Christian book when available, listening to inmate concerns, offering hope and encouraging inmate's involvement in programs offered them there such as AA, NA, GED, Re-Entry, and Diversion, all the while supporting and working with the jail staff. While physically entering a prison may not be for everyone, a parishioner's discipleship in donating paperback Christian books/devotionals year-round and/or donating personal hygiene items at Christmas is always a way to serve.
